We Plant it Forward Seedling Planting and Invasive Removal Volunteers will target hot spots around the park and dispose of trash in nearby dumpsters/bins. After completing the planting, volunteers will add mulch. Volunteers will help with digging holes and placing bulbs. Volunteers will use wheelbarrows, pitchforks, hard rakes, and other tools as needed to help spread wood chips in the playground. Latta University Historic Park Invasive Removal Volunteers will use hand trowels to dig holes to plant annuals in our sign beds. Volunteers will use hand tools to help plant bulbs in designated areas in the park. Volunteers will be trained on identifying invasive plant material and will cut it away from designated areas. Join Parks staff in removing trash along Crabtree Creek Trail near New Bern Ave. Volunteers will be filling and moving wheelbarrows of gravel to designated areas on the course and moving logs.
